I'm excited for friends starting a new business that seems like an AWESOME venture, and am thrilled to be a part of it...
I'm nervous because I haven't ever been a "self-starter" when it comes to physical fitness... I've done team/group athletic stuff, but not since high school... Ballet classes were easy to go to when I had a mom who dropped me off and picked me up. I somehow dragged myself out of bed way too early in the morning to get beat up on before sunrise on the grid in ColorGuard (flags), but friends and high school crushes made that a bit easier...
It helps to have an extremely self-disciplined and motivated boyfriend as an example. His determination and realistic perspective help a lot, but I still don't think I'm quite in a place to get up extra early most mornings or bust my butt in the Texas summer heat just 'cause I love it yet...
I have many, many reasons to get off my butt and hit it hard... I have much fewer excuses to sit on the couch and watch another Law & Order rerun... Therefore, I'm gonna make a real run at getting serious about improving my life through improved physical fitness and health.
Wish me luck!

Staring to think about getting active is the first step in getting active.
It is your body and your life and everyone goes at a different pace...
If all you want to do right now is talk a walk..give yourself "kudos" for doing that. If all you do is cut out some "zoo-zoo's and wham-wham's" ( sweets) then give your self "kudos".
Most of us have been living our lives eating fast food, watching tv, and watching others exercise...now it is time for others to watch you.
Congratulations and "kudos" for taking the first steps.
