What a thrill to receive an email from my friends at Venus Life. I'm excited about the training programs, the corporate challenge and all the other events going on. Good luck, all!
In my world....let's see. After spending the summer in Boulder, Co we came back to Winston-Salem to get back into our real lives. In October, one of the local triathlon clubs posted a "30 runs in 30 days challenge". Basically we were tasked with running every single day. Not long runs, but consistent - as a way to jump start training. My husband is an orthopaedic surgeon and an accomplished triathlete. His theory is that you need to build your durability before you begin to build your endurance. In other words, your heart can go further, faster than your legs, back ect. So even if it was just a walk, it was doing the job of building the body's durability. Anyway, while I didn't do all 30, I did accomplish a lot of it and for the month of April, I'm back to it after a considerable time off of running.
Big news...we're moving to Boise, Idaho. So if any of you are out there, drop me a line. We'll move some time in mid-June when the kids get out of school. I hope to spend a lot of time running along the river, in the foothills and mountains. Can't wait. But getting the house on the market is a nightmare.
I'll keep you posted. Erin
