Goddess Moment: Living the Life I imagined
When I turned 43 everything changed. I had been in an emotional spiral. I had let myself get overweight. My body was a disaster, my mind was going in a million different directions and my soul was screaming for me to wake up.
I had been in the corporate world for 20 years, making a very good living, acquired many things, and on the “fast track”. But, my body, mind, and soul were paying the price of not being physically active, eating healthy, and surrounding myself with positive energy.
It was time to take my life back and do something about it. I started working from the inside out. I started eating healthier, finding time for me, and looking at what was really important in my life.
Today, I’ve lost over 75 lbs. by making healthy life choices. I pay attention to how I feel and the energy I give out. I am the everyday woman that chooses to promote exercise, healthy foods, positive energy, and a community of giving back.
Now at the age of 46, I am very happy to be co-creating Venuslife and to create opportunities for all women to “get your goddess on”.

Goddess moment: Learning how to use my passion to inspire others.
In 2005, while standing on the beach in Panama City waiting to go into the water for Ironman Florida, all of the fear and anxiety slipped away, and a great calming silence and peace came over me. I realized at that moment, for me, the point of it all was not just having the ability to finish the race with a smile on my face, but that I could have a positive effect on the people around me -- especially women who had never thought in a million years they could do something like this.
I started running marathons at the age of 12 and have evolved over the years into a long distance Triathlete. I realize that not every woman will do a triathlon event in their life. But there are many women out there who share the spirit and determination to accomplish any goal they choose. And that spirit can inspire the people around them.
I love the competition. But for me it is indeed all about the journey. I have met and been inspired by many people. And I’ve enjoyed inspiring others along my path.
I have always thought of myself as an ordinary woman. But through my determination and the support and encouragement of friends and family, I get to do and live an extra ordinary life. I truly believe that no goddess is an island!
Venus Life is my dream come true. It brings me great pleasure and happiness to be able to share her with you. We look forward to seeing you at all the Venus Life events in 2008.
